Mascherano, Messi, Segovia and Silvetti named in MLS Team of the Matchday | OneFootball

According to Inter Miami, head coach Javier Mascherano, captain Leo Messi, midfielder Telasco Segovia and attacker Mateo Silvetti have been named in the MLS Team of the Matchday presented by Audi for week 2 of the 2026 regular season.

The recognition follows a 4-2 comeback win away to Orlando City on Sunday night. Mascherano leads the Team of the Matchday for the first time this campaign after half-time changes helped overturn a 2-0 deficit and deliver the club’s first away victory against their rivals.

Silvetti was introduced at half-time and struck in the 49th minute, Inter Miami’s first goal of the match and of the 2026 season.

Messi levelled in the 57th minute with a drive from outside the box. Segovia set up both Silvetti’s opener and Messi’s equaliser.

The Venezuelan then put Miami 3-2 up in the 85th minute, curling into the far corner from inside the area.

Messi completed the turnaround with a 90th-minute free-kick to the bottom-left corner.
