Marseille will be without Mason Greenwood, who is suspended, Geoffrey Kondogbia and Nayef Aguerd for Sunday’s crucial trip to Monaco at 20:45, while Leonardo Balerdi is expected to return.

According to L'Équipe, Habib Beye had his full squad back at training on Friday after two weeks with a reduced group, but several players are not ready to feature.

Greenwood, Marseille’s leading scorer, sustained a dead leg in the 2-1 defeat to Lille before the international break and has not fully recovered. He is undergoing reconditioning and should resume next week.

Kondogbia suffered a thigh injury in training this week and will be absent. Balerdi withdrew from Argentina duty as a precaution, is set to train fully on Saturday and is expected to be available in Monaco.

Aguerd had adductor surgery in March and is due to resume training on Friday, but he will not be involved on Sunday. His recovery is on course.

Captain Pierre-Emile Höjbjerg is being monitored after Denmark’s World Cup play-off final elimination. The focus is on his recovery, with his condition to be assessed over the next two days.
