Referee Matheus Delgado Candançan, 27, will take charge of Guarani v Santos on Sunday 18 at 20:30, at Brinco de Ouro da Princesa, in the Paulistão third round.

According to Diario Do Peixe, Alex Ang Ribeiro and Rafael Tadeu Alves de Souza are the assistants, with Ilbert Estevam da Silva overseeing VAR.

Last year, Candançan handled four Santos matches in the Paulistão, three at Vila Belmiro, a 3-0 win over Noroeste, a 1-1 draw with Botafogo-SP and a 2-1 loss to Palmeiras, plus the 2-1 semi-final defeat to Corinthians at Neo Química Arena.

In the Brasileiro, he oversaw two Mirassol games, a 3-0 defeat at Campos Maia and a 1-1 draw at Vila Belmiro. In 2024, he handled three Santos fixtures, including Paulistão wins over Inter de Limeira, 3-2 at Vila Belmiro, and Red Bull Bragantino, 3-1 at Neo Química Arena.

The year before last, he was fourth official in two Brasileirão games, a 3-2 home win over América-MG and a 2-0 loss at Red Bull Bragantino’s Nabi Abi Chedid. He also served as AVAR2 for the 2-1 victory over Palmeiras at Arena Barueri.

He has also officiated Santos’ women in the Paulista Feminino at Vila Belmiro, a 0-0 draw with Palmeiras and a 3-2 loss to São Paulo, which featured Tainá Maranhão’s red card and a stoppage-time winner before a semi-final exit on penalties.
