According to Globo.com, Matheus Pereira has sustained a left thigh injury and will not be available to head coach Dorival Júnior for Sunday’s decisive quarter-final against Portuguesa at Canindé, which kicks off at 20:30 Brasília time in the Campeonato Paulista.

The midfielder was replaced in the second half of the game at Athletico-PR’s Arena da Baixada in Curitiba after feeling muscle discomfort. He then missed Corinthians’ last two sessions at CT Joaquim Grava.

With fatigue and limited recovery time, Dorival Júnior should alter his starting side.

A possible Corinthians XI is Hugo Souza, Matheuzinho (Pedro Milans), André Ramalho, João Pedro Tchoca, Matheus Bidu, Raniele, André, André Carrillo, Breno Bidon, Memphis Depay and Gui Negão.

Corinthians completed preparations on Saturday morning. Players watched a tactical video, carried out strength work in the gym, then moved to the pitch for a tactical session, with set pieces also covered.
