Endrick, on loan from Real Madrid since winter, is not expected to remain at Lyon. According to L'Équipe, recruitment chief Matthieu Louis-Jean indicated after the final Ligue 1 round that, as things stand, the spell is finished.

He departed on 71 minutes in a 0-4 home loss to Lens at the Groupama Stadium.

Louis-Jean said the loan had been very positive, noting Endrick’s rapid adaptation, including learning French. He described him as a good character who contributed a lot in a short time and delivered what was expected.

He added that Endrick is a young player who will keep progressing, and said he hopes the forward goes to the World Cup and enjoys a strong tournament. On whether the arrangement would continue, he said that today it is over.

Across five months with OL, Endrick made 21 appearances, scoring eight goals and supplying eight assists. He remains under contract with Real Madrid until 2030.
