Matveï Safonov could be out longer than first anticipated after fracturing his left hand against Flamengo.
According to L'Équipe, the PSG goalkeeper was initially expected to miss three to four weeks, but the timeframe has stretched to roughly five to six weeks.
Safonov was the hero of the Intercontinental Cup final on 17 December, making four saves in the shoot-out. PSG drew 1-1 with Flamengo before winning 2-1 on penalties, and he returned from Doha with the injury.
He has resumed training, limited to running and shooting, and is still wearing protection that prevents him using his left hand. In his absence, Renato Marin started the 4-0 Coupe de France win at Fontenay-le-Comte on 20 December.
Lucas Chevalier is expected back on Sunday at 20:45 against Paris FC, which could add pressure on the former Lille player.
Beyond Safonov, PSG will be without Achraf Hakimi, Ibrahim Mbaye, away at AFCON, plus Kang-in Lee and Quentin Ndjantou, both injured, for the PFC match. After a promising first outing against Fontenay-le-Comte, Noah Nsoki continues his integration with the senior group, his dribbling, technique and pace appealing to Luis Enrique, who wants to get to know him better.
