Despite Tottenham’s struggles, Postecoglou is not in immediate danger of losing his job.

The club acknowledges that injuries have severely hampered the team’s performances in recent months.

However, reports indicate that Spurs have a shortlist of potential replacements should a change become necessary.

Names like Edin Terzic, Thomas Frank, and Andoni Iraola have been linked with the role, but one possibility stands out—Mauricio Pochettino.

The Argentine, currently managing the United States men’s national team, has openly spoken about his unfinished business at Spurs and his desire to return one day.

However, journalist Dean Jones believes a return is unlikely at this stage. Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, Jones stated: "A return for Mauricio Pochettino would undoubtedly excite Tottenham fans, but is very unlikely.

"He has recently taken charge of the United States men’s national team and while a north London comeback remains a tantalising prospect, his current commitments make it improbable in the near term."

Interestingly, Daniel Levy had the opportunity to reappoint Pochettino in the summer of 2023 but instead opted for Ange Postecoglou.

Given the Australian’s strong start, the decision seemed justified at the time, particularly considering Pochettino’s fallout at Chelsea. But with Spurs now struggling, the question remains—was that the right call?

Could Pochettino have been the right choice all along?

Pochettino is still widely respected at Tottenham, and his return would likely unify the fanbase.

He understands the club’s culture, has proven himself at this level, and could provide the stability Spurs are looking for.
