Real Madrid faced off against Girona at the Estadi Montilivi earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a good result on the road in La Liga. Los Blancos made a slow start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the 45th minute when Azzedine Ounahi found the back of the net. Xabi Alonso’s men were trailing 1-0 at the half-time interval.

Kylian Mbappe equalised for Real Madrid from the penalty spot in the 67th minute. The Madrid giants ended up settling for a lackluster 1-1 draw away from home.

Courtois made a few solid saves at the back but failed to keep a clean sheet.

He got stuck in with some solid tackles and made two good chances going forward.

LB: Fran Garcia – 6.5/10

He performed his defensive duties well but offered very little in the opponent’s half.

CM: Federico Valverde – 6/10

Valverde made one good chance in the final third and put in a disjointed display in the middle of the park.

CM: Aurelien Tchouameni – 6.5/10

He earned possession back twice and engineered some decent chances in the final third.

CM: Jude Bellingham – 7/10

Bellingham was a positive influence at both ends of the field.

RW: Arda Guler – 6/10

He struggled to catch the eye in the first half and was substituted at half-time.

ST: Kylian Mbappe – 7.5/10

Mbappe was a constant menace up top and managed to score the equaliser from the penalty spot in the 67th minute.

LW: Vinicius Junior – 7/10

The Brazilian talent gave a good account of himself on the left flank, but there was no goal for him.

CM: Eduardo Camavinga – 7/10

He added some creativity to Alonso’s midfield.
