Released by Al-Wehda, Saad Bguir has just found a new landing spot. The Tunisian international (20 caps, 5 goals) has chosen to write a new chapter of his career in Libya.
The 31-year-old midfielder has signed with Al-Nasr Benghazi in Libya. The team finished the 2024-2025 season in fourth place in Group A of the Play-offs with 14 points, 10 behind the leaders, Al-Ahli Benghazi.
The native of Tataouine started his career with US Tataouine, Stade Gabésien, and Espérance Sportive de Tunis, before heading to Saudi Arabia in 2019.
In five seasons at Abha, he scored 40 goals and provided 28 assists in 144 matches. Last season, he netted 3 goals in 26 appearances with Al-Wehda.
It's worth noting that Saad Bguir's last appearance for the Carthage Eagles dates back to the FIFA Arab Cup 2021, where Tunisia finished as runners-up in Qatar.
