ALAJUELA, Costa Rica – The Final Round of the 2026 Concacaf Women’s U-17 Qualifiers concluded its final matchday with Mexico winning 2-nil against Costa Rica in Group C on Sunday at the Costa Rica Federation Field #1 in Alajuela, Costa Rica.

Citlalli Reyes broke the deadlock in the 43’ with a right-footed shot into the right side of the goal to place Mexico in front. Mía Urbano delivered the assist.

Kemberly García added a second for Mexico in the 81’ with a left-footed finish in the box.

With the victory, Mexico secures the top of the group with a 3-0-0 record, and advances to the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Morocco 2026.

Costa Rica finishes second in the group with a 2-0-1 record.

Puerto Rico (2-0-1) secured the final FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup berth as the best runner-up across the three groups, besting Costa Rica on goal difference.
