Michael Carrick has outlined Manchester United’s plans for Monday night’s Premier League meeting with Leeds United at Old Trafford, confirming Lisandro Martinez returns after missing the last five games with a calf injury and Harry Maguire serves a one-match ban. Patrick Dorgu and Matthijs de Ligt will not feature.
According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Dorgu has been out since a hamstring problem sustained in January’s 3-2 win at Arsenal, and although the 21-year-old travelled to this week’s Dublin training camp he remains in rehabilitation.
De Ligt is still on the comeback trail from a back injury and did not travel to Dublin, with the defender not yet working on the grass.
Diogo Dalot, who stayed behind to recover from illness, is reportedly expected to be available. Goalkeeper Tom Heaton, who had also been unwell, is reportedly expected to be available.
Dorgu has only just returned to outdoor work as part of his rehab, and the wider squad is considered in good shape.
