AC Milan fear Niclas Füllkrug has sustained a suspected broken toe, leaving the Germany striker sidelined for now.
Corriere dello Sport said he is already out, while Gazzetta dello Sport also ruled him out for the time being.
He will miss Thursday’s match against Como 1907 and is almost certain to be unavailable for Sunday’s game against Lecce.
Milan hope to have the 32-year-old back for AS Roma on 25 January, a return that depends on treatment and his pain threshold.
Corriere della Sera and La Repubblica reported a longer lay-off, around one month.
Germany’s next games are at the end of March, and Füllkrug left West Ham in January seeking more minutes. He wants to remain in Julian Nagelsmann’s plans for the 2026 World Cup.
