Milan fans protest against club and Cardinale during Roma clash | OneFootball

A wave of protest chants coming from Milan fans in the Curva Sud, mainly addressed against owner Gerry Cardinale and the board, marked the opening 10 minutes of the Rossoneri’s home meeting with Roma.

It was not the first time that the chant ‘Cardinale, you have to sell’ was heard at San Siro, and the once again ultras started expressing their discontent loud and clear as soon as the speaker finished announcing the line-ups.

Milan fans protest against Cardinale: ‘You have to sell’

They first changed ‘You’ve pissed us off’, followed by the already known protest against Cardinale, with the supporters in the blue section of the second tier urging the American owner to sell the club.

There were more songs of protest in the opening 10 minutes of the game, like ‘We’re Milan’ and ‘This club doesn’t deserve us’.

Tijjani Reijnders’ opener didn’t particularly lift the fans’ mood, as they mostly remained silent after celebrating the goal, which was followed by Paulo Dybala’s equaliser for Roma.

The Rossoneri ultras had already made their voice heard on the night of Milan’s 125th anniversary when they chanted ‘We’re not American’ after the final whistle of a 0-0 home draw against Genoa.
