MILAN FUTURO, UP AND RUNNING: 3-0 WIN OVER LEON

Milan Futuro's year could not have got off to a better start, as they secured one of their best wins of the season in their first match of 2026. Away to Leon, Coach Oddo's side ran out 3-0 winners. After a balanced first half with chances at both ends, they took control in the opening 10 minutes of the second half, scoring three goals in quick succession, which put the match beyond doubt. Sala, Cappelletti and Asanji were the first goalscorers of the calendar year, sealing three important and well-deserved points.

The points are important because they push us even higher up the table, closing the gap on second-placed Chievo and - for the time being - on leaders Folgore Caratese. Well deserved because the authoritative, mature performance from our young players helps to build on a positive December and extends the unbeaten run. There should be a special mention for the three goalscorers of the day: while it was the second league goal of the season for both Sala (who went close to a brace) and Cappelletti, it was a particularly notable moment for Levis Asanji, who scored his first goal for Milan Futuro. An excellent restart for our lads, who will be back in action on Sunday 11, when Pavia will visit Solbiate Arno.

MATCH REPORT The Rossoneri started strongly, creating two quick chances through Ibrahimović (2') and Ossola (6'), but both efforts narrowly missed the target. The first shot on goal came in the 7th minute from Sala, whose late run was denied by Generali's feet. After our fast-paced start, the hosts grew into the game and went close to taking the lead in the 14th minute as Bonseri hit the crossbar. Mascheroni had a close-range effort in the 23rd minute, which Pittarella gathered on the second attempt, before producing another save in the 26th minute, flying to deny Bolis' free-kick. Towards the end of the first half, Milan Futuro pushed forward again: in the 40th minute Asanji's header went just over the bar, and in the 45th minute there were two chances in quick succession for Ibrahimović and Cappelletti, but the opposition's defence stood firm. The second half started in the best possible way, with a Rossonero one-two early on that broke the deadlock. In the 48th minute, Sala made it 1–0 by capitalising on a short rebound from the goalkeeper, and in the 50th minute Cappelletti, with a well-timed run, finished off a scramble in the box. Ossola went close to making it three in a one-on-one situation with Generali in the 54th minute, but the 3–0 arrived a minute later, with Asanji tapping in from close range after Ibrahimović's assist. After the third goal, the tempo dropped, both coaches rotated their teams with substitutions, but the level of Milan Futuro's play did not dip: in the 74th minute, Sala went close to his personal brace when a shot from the edge of the area skimmed the outside of the post. In the closing stages, a Leon goal was ruled out for offside, an incident that led to the dismissal of Evangelisti, Memushaj's assistant. The final whistle came after three minutes of stoppage time, sealing the Milan Futuro win.
