Milan have been attached to a host of options to replenish their frontline, but no candidate has separated himself from the pack for now, Calciomercato reports.
The latest name to land in the Rossoneri’s radar is Igor Thiago, who has had a great maiden campaign in the Premier League. However, his price tag is already €60/70M; therefore, he’s an improbable target.
Milan continue to wait in the wings to see if Dusan Vlahovic will leave Juventus. However, it’ll be tough for them too to meet his requests if he’s determined to maintain his current wages. That’s the main problem concerning Robert Lewandowski as well.
Alexander Sorloth is more attainable, but his current price tag is a tad too rich for their management. Moise Kean could regain steam if Fiorentina overhaul their squad and don’t insist on his release clause, considering his paltry and injury-ravaged campaign.
Gabriel Jesus has been offered, but doesn’t entice the brass too much. Nicolas Jackson will return to Chelsea after a loan spell at Bayern Munich. His valuation and salary are rich relative to his performances, but they have done a lot of business with the Blues.
PSG’s Gonçalo Ramos is in a similar spot. The Rossoneri could revive their interest in Jean-Philippe Mateta, who has overcome the knee problems that led to the collapse of his January move. He hasn’t yet extended his contract with Crystal Palace.
If they want to look somewhat competent, they have to be surgical with the choice and negotiate terms they are comfortable with rather than settling with what the market has to offer only for economic reasons, then forcing the coach to make it work.
