Calciomercato.com reports that Milan are considering a summer move for Italy forward Moise Kean, 25, but hope to avoid triggering the €62m clause in his Fiorentina contract.

Milan sought another centre-forward in January. They recruited Niclas Fullkrug from West Ham and reached an agreement with Crystal Palace for Jean-Philippe Mateta at around €35m.

They then walked away after Mateta’s medical, amid concern over a knee issue that might require surgery. With that collapse, no further attacker arrived and the club plan to reassess in the summer.

They are still said to be keen on Juventus’s Dusan Vlahovic, who is currently due to be out of contract at the end of the season. Commission fees, potentially up to €20m, mean any deal would not be straightforward.

Kean is well known to Massimiliano Allegri from their Juventus days and is close to Rafael Leao. He renewed with Fiorentina last summer to 2029, with a clause valid from July one until July 15. Milan are hoping Fiorentina will entertain lower, but still respectable, proposals.
