Milan are targeting Fabio Paratici to become their new director of sport, according to MilanPress, despite him only taking the Fiorentina job in February after leaving Tottenham Hotspur.

Calciomercato reports he is the leading candidate for the role, while MilanPress claims special adviser Zlatan Ibrahimovic has spoken directly to Paratici to gauge his availability.

Milan began a sweeping overhaul after failing to secure Champions League qualification last night. A single club statement confirmed the dismissals of coach Max Allegri, CEO Giorgio Furlani, director of sport Igli Tare and technical director Geoffrey Moncada.

Andoni Areola and Xavi have been linked with the coaching vacancy, though the immediate priority is appointing a director of sport to shape the transfer strategy.

Paratici previously served as Juventus director of sport from 2010 to 2021. Accounting practices around profits from player sales in that era led to Juventus being fined and docked points. He received a 30-month suspension from all football activity in April 2023.

Milan withdrew a job offer in April 2025 amid the risk of an extended ban, and he returned to the club in October 2025. Another possibility is Atalanta director Tony D’Amico, however he is widely reported to be moving towards Roma instead.
