Serie A giants Milan are now keen on signing Adrien Rabiot, with manager Max Allegri interested in reuniting with the player.
La Gazzetta dello Sport report that the Rossoneri management is now in agreement with the manager regarding a move and that is why they want to sign Rabiot, who is said to have been deemed sellable by the French club.
Work is now underway to land the player, who will have a leading role under Allegri. First attempt has been made and this was to know about Rabiot’s intentions of a move.
Marseille value him at around €15 million. However, they aren’t considering Ismael Bennacer as a replacement. Roberto De Zerbi had him on loan at the Velodrome last year, but his performances weren’t enough to convince the French club to buy him out. In any case, an agreement needs to be reached quickly.
Previously, Rabiot’s contract and wage demands have been out of reach for Milan. Now, they have offered a longer contract to him than they put forward last year and are working with intermediaries to reach an agreement.
Rabiot’s mother-agent Veronique is yet to give a green light but she will be contacted by the club today. The belief now is that the midfielder’s wage demands fall within Milan’s parameters and reaching an agreement over personal terms will not be a major problem.
