AS Monaco supporters plan a pre-match protest near Stade Louis-II on Wednesday, ahead of the Champions League tie with Juventus, reflecting months of growing dissatisfaction.

According to Nice-Matin, fans are set to gather from 18:00 at the Fontvieille sea wall, with a march expected to start between 19:15 and 19:30 so they can head to the stadium together.

Banners at games and anti-board chants have already been tried, and groups have now opted for a collective rally.

Club des Supporters (CSM) president Laurent Maire said even the 2011 relegation to Ligue 2 did not prompt such an initiative. He added that supporters tried a song strike, banners, meetings with Thiago Scuro and Carlos Avina, and talks with players, but felt forced to take a further step.

Sébastien Pocognoli has repeatedly met groups after matches at Louis-II, a gesture appreciated by fans. Even so, some accuse players of poor lifestyle, nonchalance and a lack of commitment, and say they have sent evidence to the club.

The sense of disconnect is widening, with many saying they no longer understand the club’s project and that problems were not anticipated. Ultras Monaco and the CSM hope to draw around 600 people and are urging all Monaco fans to attend.
