AS Monaco are reportedly looking to secure another loan deal for Sunderland AFC forward Simon Adingra (24), according to Foot Mercato.

However, this is set to be a difficult task, as AS Roma, RB Leipzig, Ipswich Town, Hull City and West Ham United are all said to be trying to persuade the Ivorian to join them on a permanent transfer. The Hammers’ management, who will be playing in the Championship during the 2026–27 season, are even said to have already begun talks with the 24-year-old, whose contract with Sunderland runs until 2030.

Valued at €22m by the specialist website Transfermarkt, Adingra is coming off the back of a relatively mixed season, featuring an interesting loan spell at Monaco. Making 17 appearances under Sébastien Pocognoli in the second half of the season, the former Brighton & Hove Albion player proved decisive on five occasions, scoring three goals and providing two assists. So much so that he managed to secure a place in the Ivory Coast squad selected by Emerse Faé for the World Cup, where he featured in his side’s 2-1 defeat to Germany.
