Monaco have rejected Bayer Leverkusen’s opening bid for Eliesse Ben Seghir, according to Fabrizio Romano.
As confirmed by GGFN, French media reported that B04 had submitted a €25m opening bid for the 20-year-old winger. The bid is within the youngster’s current market value, however, Monaco want to hold out for closer to €35m for their player.
Borussia Dortmund, who are monitoring the situation, have been informed of the opening offer from their Bundesliga rivals.
Leverkusen are aiming to replace the outgoing Amine Adli who has already bid farewell to the Werkself fans, with a €30m sale to Bournemouth is reportedly finalised.
Despite his age, Ben Seghir has already played 11 times for Morocco, scoring on three occasions.
Ben Seghir had a breakout season last campaign, having made the step up from Monaco’s U21s to the first team. The winger played over 40 games for the Ligue 1 side last term.
