Manchester United clashed heads with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park earlier today as they hoped to secure a good result on the road in the Premier League. The Red Devils made a slow start to the game and conceded a penalty, which Jean-Philippe Mateta scored in the 36th minute. Man United went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.
Joshua Zirkzee equalised in the 54th minute with a great strike from a tight angle. Mason Mount completed the turnaround just nine minutes later as the Red Devils hung on to their slender advantage to secure a hard-fought 2-1 win away from home.
Let’s take a look at how each Manchester United player fared during the clash against the Eagles.
He made a couple of solid saves at the back and did enough to limit the home side to just one goal.
CB: Leny Yoro – 6/10
Yoro was far from convincing when defending inside his half and conceded a penalty, which Mateta scored in the first half.
CB: Matthijs de Ligt – 6.5/10
He dealt with the danger when he could and kept Mateta quiet for most of the game.
CB: Luke Shaw – 6.5/10
Shaw didn’t do much wrong on the defensive end of the field.
