According to L’Équipe, the board at Nantes retain full faith in manager Antoine Koumbaré despite a difficult spell for the Ligue 1 club. Les Canaris are currently on a 7 match winless run in the French top flight and are flirting with relegation in 14th place.
The Loire club are currently outside of the relegation places on goal difference. Despite the external pressure on Koumbaré, his club are not piling on the pressure ahead of their match against RC Lens on Saturday evening. Even in the event of defeat against Les Sang et Or, the job of the former Toulouse manager is not thought to be in any danger.
Koumbaré is still held in high regards by Waldemar Kita and the management of Nantes after avoiding relegation through the play-offs and winning the Coupe de France in 2022, which eventually led to their participation in the UEFA Europa League in 2022/23.
