Napoli defeated Atalanta 3-1 in Naples this evening as Antonio Conte’s side bounced back emphatically from their pre-break blues. Football Italia’s Player of the Match was David Neres.
Napoli: Milinkovic-Savic 6; Beukema 6, Rrahmani 6 (Juan Jesus 6), Buongiorno 6.5, Di Lorenzo 6.5; Lobotka 6, McTominay 7, Gutierrez 6 (Mazzocchi 6); Neres 8 (Politano 6), Hojlund 6.5 (Lucca 6), Lang 7 (Elmas 6)
Best Napoli player: David Neres – The Brazilian winger was in excellent form this evening with an impressive brace to send Antonio Conte’s side on their way to victory. Aiming to fight for more minutes and little better way to do it than with a performance like that.
Lowest Napoli rating: Gutierrez – Highly ineffective on the left-hand side, offering little in the way of offensive or defensive threat. Was eventually taken off with twenty minutes left to play.

Coach: Conte 8 – Must have lit a real fire up the backsides of his team with his comments before the international break. His side bounced back emphatically with an important three points.
Atalanta: Carnesecchi 5.5; Djimsiti 5, Hien 5, Ahanor 4.5 (Kossounou 6); Bellanova 6.5, Ederson 6, De Roon 6, Zappacosta 5.5 (Zalewski 6); Pasalic 5.5 (Scamacca 7), Lookman 5.5 (Maldini N/A)
Best Atalanta player: Scamacca – Came off the bench to get a wonderful consolation goal for the visitors. Considering how poor his teammates were, the forward can react a little easier knowing he was the best of a bad bunch.
Lowest Atalanta rating: Ahanor – Had 45 minutes to forget before being substituted off at half-time. The teenage defender was left chasing David Neres throughout the first half and will be hoping to learn something from a sloppy performance.

Coach: Palladino 6 – Initial selection and set-up was all wrong and his side got intimidated on the night. With a half-time team talk and a couple of substitutions, La Dea were the better side in the second half.
