Napoli have held talks over the signing of Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho, as per reports.

United have started the summer transfer window strongly as far as the incomings are concerned, having already announced the arrival of Matheus Cunha.

At the same time, the Red Devils are pushing to sign both Bryan Mbeumo and Viktor Gyokeres. The Brentford winger has already given the green light for a move to Old Trafford, and it is understood United are ready to make a formal offer for the Sporting CP striker.

However, the absence of Champions League football means INEOS may need to make major sales to bring in all these high-profile signings.

On that front, United have yet to make any significant progress and have so far received no bids for any players they made available for sale heading into the summer, reports i Paper.

Ruben Amorim is prepared to part ways with Marcus Rashford, Antony, Alejandro Garnacho and Jadon Sancho. Garnacho, in particular, has been told to find a new club by the head coach due to his questionable attitude.

It is claimed the 20-year-old Argentina international is attracting plenty of interest.

Napoli are understood to be “frontrunners” having held talks with United. However, the Naples outfit have not made any bid for Garnacho this summer.

Serie A giants have been chasing the Argentine since January after selling Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to Paris Saint-Germain.

Antonio Conte is still looking for the Champions League-winning winger’s replacement and Garnacho appears to be his preferred target.

However, the Italian side might struggle to convince Garnacho to join Scott McTominay in Naples.

Recently, The Peoples Person relayed a report claiming the United academy product is keen on staying in the Premier League and is pushing for a move to Chelsea.
