Napoli’s January strategy is beginning to move, with Verona forward Giovane emerging as a serious target once key departures are finalised.

The Brazilian has drawn attention in his first full Serie A season thanks to his pace, technique and ability to play across the attacking line.

Still raw and inconsistent in front of goal, Giovane is viewed in Naples as a player with upside rather than an instant solution, according to the latest reports from the Corriere dello Sport.

Napoli have been monitoring him closely and believe his versatility fits well with the club’s medium-term planning.

Verona in no rush over Giovane as Napoli usher Lang to door

Verona, however, are in no rush.

Their asking price is believed to be around €20m and interest is growing, with Lazio also tracking the situation. For Napoli, that means the move is dependent on clearing space first.

That process is already underway. Noa Lang is set to leave after Napoli reached an agreement with Galatasaray for a loan move that includes an option to buy, with the overall deal valued at roughly €32m.

The structure has been debated, but the outcome is clear: Lang’s exit gives Napoli the flexibility they need.

Giovane is not the only name under consideration. Napoli are also evaluating wide options with greater European experience, including Betis winger Abdessamad Ezzalzouli, as they balance cost, readiness and resale value.

Meanwhile, Lorenzo Lucca remains another potential outgoing. Nottingham Forest are pushing hardest, but Pisa, Bologna and Sevilla are all monitoring developments. Further loan exits are also expected.
