Nashville SC is coming off a 1-nil aggregate win over Club América, earning that victory on the road and becoming the first MLS side to win a game at Estadio Banorte in the tournament’s history.

The Semifinal appearance marks a first in club history for Nashville SC. Led by an attacking trio of Hany Mukhtar, Sam Surridge and Cristian Espinoza, Nashville will look to get off to a good start to the series at home against a Mexican powerhouse.

Tigres UANL will be playing in its sixth Semifinal, advancing four times and being eliminated on two occasions, including last year to eventual champions Cruz Azul. It will be the first time Los Felinos are facing opposition from the United States in the Semifinals.

Tigres are coming off another series against an MLS side, against Seattle Sounders FC in the Quarterfinals, where the Mexican side advanced 3-3 on aggregate due to away goals.

While Rodrigo Aguirre and Ozziel Herrera have been crucial in the attack, goalkeeper Nahuel Guzmán continues to play an important role for the Mexican side.
