During a recent activity where players were invited to choose the most beautiful crest among Brazilian clubs, Jase Richardson, a rookie from the Orlando Magic, made an interesting comment about the Verdão: “Palmeiras, green, I played with them a few times on FIFA.” The statement went viral on social media.

Richardson, only 19 years old, was selected with the 25th pick of the 2025 Draft by the Orlando Magic. At Michigan State Spartans, he averaged 12.1 points per game, with a 49.3% field goal percentage and 41.2% from three-point range, along with 3.3 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game. During his college career, he was named to the Third Team All-Big Ten and the Big Ten All-Freshman Team.
