The Netherlands have confirmed that defender Jurriën Timber will miss the World Cup.
Timber has been one of the best defenders in the Premier League this season but missed the end of Arsenal's title campaign through injury.

And now it's been confirmed by the Oranje that, despite being picked in their initial 26-man squad, he will be absent for the tournament.
Coach Ronald Koeman has called up Lutsharel Geertruida of Sunderland as Timber’s replacement.
Netherlands have been drawn in a tough group alongside Japan, Sweden and Tunisia.
