The right-back has a contract at Bayern until 2027, and doubts surfaced over his long-term future at the club.

However, he is now set to sign a new deal at Allianz Arena, as Bayern want to keep the right-back with them for next season.

Konrad Laimer set to sign new deal at Bayern Munich

Last month, we reported that Laimer may reduce his wage demands as he wants to continue at Bayern and become a part of this team.

A pay rise is most certainly deserved, and the two parties have held talks that suits everyone.

Christian Falk has now exclusively told CFBayern Insider that there will soon be a “new deal” for the Austrian international.

Ahead of the World Cup, a secret meeting was held with the Bayern bosses.

Laimer enjoyed a fantastic 2025-26 campaign for Bayern, and he certainly deserves a contract extension. However, Bayern do not want to pay over the odds.

The Bild journalist said: “It is TRUE: There have been talks with Konrad Laimer

“There will soon be a new deal for the Austria international. Ahead of the World Cup, I mentioned that there was a secret meeting with the Bayern bosses, and the initial idea was that Laimer could be offered €1m more on his current terms.

“But now the idea is that up to €12m [£10.4m] could be the range. Once add-ons are taken into account, it could be a little more, but not as much as his entourage were looking for in the first round of talks. If he’s playing well, as he has done this season, he deserves to earn a bit more.”

Konrad Laimer contract: More depth for Bayern

Securing Laimer’s future would be a great news for Bayern, as Vincent Kompany will now have more depth in full-back areas.

Bayern have reached an agreement for Nathaniel Brown, who is primarily a left-back but can also play as a right-back.

This also means Kompany has more options to rotate the squad, and in the process, he can make the dressing room happy.
