FC Bayern Munich could make a move for Denzel Dumfries in the summer. The right-back is available thanks to a release clause.
The search for a long-term solution at right-back remains a high priority for the record champions. Although both Konrad Laimer and Josip Stanišić have performed well in this position recently, Bayern bosses are still on the lookout for another alternative.
In this context, the name Denzel Dumfries, who is currently under contract at Inter Milan , has been mentioned time and again for years. The Dutch international has an exciting profile: physically strong, internationally experienced and ready for immediate action.
What makes him particularly interesting is a potential release clause of around 25 million euros, which has attracted the attention of several top clubs – including FC Bayern, as TuttoMercatoWeb reports.
At the same time, there are signs of a major shake-up at Inter. The Italians are apparently planning to rebuild their squad, particularly in defence, and are therefore also considering personnel changes. Dumfries is one of the players for whom a departure in the summer cannot be ruled out.
Inter have been linked with Atalanta defender Marco Palestra in recent weeks, with club president Beppe Marotta publicly stating that he is an admirer of the 21-year-old.
This presents FC Bayern with a new opportunity: having been the subject of heated discussions in the past, it could now become concrete again.

One thing is clear: the construction site on the right side of defence has not yet been finally resolved in Munich – and Dumfries remains one of the most exciting options. Whether a transfer actually takes place in the summer will probably depend largely on how the talks between the player and Inter develop and how determined Bayern are in their pursuit of the Dutchman.
