Newcastle ‘to consider’ Joao Gomes, Wolves keen on Utrecht winger Blake | OneFootball

Joao Gomes has been raised as a potential option for Newcastle United, The Athletic reports, with the Wolves midfielder brought up in planning meetings at St James’ Park. Newcastle have sold Sandro Tonali to Tottenham for £100million this summer, while Bruno Guimaraes is strongly linked with a move to Arsenal.

Wolves are interested in FC Utrecht winger Adrian Blake this summer. Sky Sports News says Burnley and Celtic are set to compete for his signature.

Gomes has made 116 Premier League appearances for Wolves, scoring seven league goals since joining from Flamengo in 2023.

Blake, formerly of Watford, made three first-team appearances at Vicarage Road in 2022-23. He has since produced nine goals and five assists in 63 games for Utrecht, including four goals and two assists last season.

The 20-year-old has one year left on his contract and is valued at around £2.5million.
