Newcastle United ‘launch’ £30.2m bid for Sunderland-linked Victor Muñoz | OneFootball

Newcastle United have reportedly lodged a bid for Sunderland-linked winger Victor Muñoz. El Chiringuito TV reports an offer of around £30.2 million plus add-ons for the Osasuna and Spain international, with the 22-year-old said to be “very enticed”. It is understood his release clause is £34.6 million.

Muñoz has been regularly linked with a move to Sunderland in recent months. Any renewed interest could put the Wear and Tyneside rivals in direct competition.

Sunderland are also said to be among the clubs tracking Örgryte IS defender Michael Parker. Rudy Galetti reports the 21-year-old, who joined from West Brom in February, has drawn attention from Newcastle, Brentford, FC Copenhagen, Eintracht Frankfurt, Sturm Graz, Red Bull Salzburg and Sporting CP. A summer fee is put at between £2.6 million and £4.3 million.

Sevilla winger Chidera Ejuke is another name under consideration. Joel Mendez states Sunderland, Fulham and Leeds United are interested, while Bayer Leverkusen are monitoring. With one year left on his deal, a move could cost around £3.5 million.

The coming weeks will show whether any of these mooted deals develop.
