Neymar’s signing helped lift Santos’ 2025 revenue by 70% versus 2023, their previous top-flight year. The club posted R$ 678.5 million.

According to Globo.com, the budget projected about R$ 423 million, so the outcome was 60% above plan. Santos were relegated in 2023 and played Série B in 2024.

The windfall softened accounts to be voted on Monday by councillors. Debt stood at R$ 998.5 million and the deficit at R$ 79.3 million, below the R$ 89.5 million forecast.

TV rights and membership income were key drivers, both seen internally as boosted by Neymar. Santos led free-to-air TV with 18 games.

Membership revenue hit R$ 50 million, more than double forecasts. Sponsorships rose, and in June the club met its kit-supplier sales target.

By mid-year 240,000 shirts had been sold, including 90,000 of a blue Neymar-honouring 2012 model, nearly 40%, triggering a bonus.

NR Sports, the Neymar family firm, invested in facilities for brand exposure. Part of more than R$ 22 million spent by partners at Vila Belmiro and CT Rei Pelé came from it, funding an NR Sports lounge and a refurbished box.

Squad costs averaged R$ 17.2 million per month in 2025. On the pitch they lost the Paulista semi-final without Neymar to Corinthians, exited to CRB in the Copa do Brasil third round, and took a Copa Sudamericana berth after a relegation battle.

Monthly player payments averaged R$ 10.2 million in 2024 and R$ 9.6 million in 2023.
