AC Milan are monitoring Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson as they search for a new centre-forward this summer, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Rossoneri are unwilling to meet the €70m asking price for Dortmund’s Serhou Guirassy and are reportedly turning their attention to Jackson as a high-priority alternative.
Jackson is expected to return to Stamford Bridge this summer after a frustrating spell with Bayern Munich.
With Enzo Maresca no longer in charge, Jackson is open to staying at Chelsea next season. However, they currently have an abundance of strikers, although the overall quality remains questionable.
Joao Pedro, Liam Delap and Marc Guiu are already at the club, while Emanuel Emegha is set to arrive from Strasbourg at the end of the current campaign.
Whether Chelsea would allow Jackson to depart on another loan is unclear, but Milan are unlikely to meet the asking price for a permanent deal despite their imminent return to the Champions League.
Chelsea – ever conscious of the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) – are expected to demand a significant return on the £32m they paid Villarreal in 2023 if they are to sanction an exit.
The Blues recently posted the highest pre-tax losses in English football history for the 2024-25 season.
