Forward Ademola Lookman is not in the Atalanta squad for a friendly against RB Leipzig as his transfer saga with Inter Milan intensifies.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInter1908.

This is likely to be the decisive day in Inter Milan’s pursuit of Ademola Lookman.

The Nerazzurri made their second offer for the Nigerian international earlier this week. They upped their bid from €40 million to €42 million plus €3 million in add-ons.

Atalanta have not yet given Inter a formal response. But they will give the Nerazzurri their answer today.

In the meantime, the Corriere dello Sport note, Ademola Lookman is not in the Atalanta squad that travelled to Germany this week.

New La Dea coach Ivan Juric is leading the team out in a friendly match against RB Leipzig.

However, Lookman is not part of the squad available to the Croatian tactician.

According to the Corriere, however, this is not the result of Lookman being imminently up for sale.

Rather, the newspaper note, the 27-year-old is still recovering from a calf issue.
