Nike has acknowledged a manufacturing flaw affecting the shoulder seams on its 2026 World Cup shirts and says it is working quickly to resolve it for players and fans, according to The Guardian.

The issue surfaces two months before the tournament, which runs from 11 June to 19 July. Nike unveiled the kits for the 12 national teams it will supply in late March, with France, Brazil and England wearing them in the last international break.

The shirts use the Aero-FIT system, designed to increase airflow and support performance in extreme conditions. Comfort will be important given the high temperatures expected this summer in the United States.

The flaw is described as aesthetic, with loosened stitching along the shoulder.

The report said Nike is in talks with partner federations and retailers to assess solutions, although fixing the issue could be a significant logistical challenge given the timeframe and the number of shirts already sold.
