Vitor Pereira has named his Nottingham Forest XI to face Aston Villa in tonight’s Europa League semi-final first leg at the City Ground.
According to Nottingham Post, Pereira has made three changes, with Stefan Ortega, Morato and Nicolas Dominguez replacing Matz Sels, Jair Cunha and Ibrahim Sangare. Jair, Sangare and Dan Ndoye are not involved.
Centre-back Murillo remains sidelined with a hamstring problem. Jair Cunha was forced off at the Stadium of Light last week, and Sangare and Ndoye did not train with the group on Wednesday.
The back four is Ola Aina, Nikola Milenkovic, Morato and Neco Williams in front of goalkeeper Ortega. Dominguez partners Elliot Anderson in midfield. Igor Jesus operates as No 10, flanked by Omari Hutchinson and Morgan Gibbs-White, with Chris Wood leading the line.
Bench: Sels, Keehan Willows, Lorenzo Lucca, Ryan Yates, James McAtee, Dilane Bakwa, Zach Abbott, Archie Whitehall, Jimmy Sinclair, Justin Hanks, Zyan Blake.
Forest arrive on an eight-match unbeaten run in all competitions. It is their first European semi-final in 42 years. A 5-0 victory at Sunderland last Friday capped the build-up, and they now seek an edge before next week’s return at Villa Park, with a place in next month’s Istanbul final at stake.
