Nottingham Forest in 'advanced talks' over new defender deal | OneFootball

Nottingham Forest are reportedly closing in on locking Ola Aina down to a long-term contract extension.

That is according to a report from The Athletic on Sunday afternoon which states that the ex-Torino man is set to be rewarded for his impressive form this season.

Aina's current deal is due to expire next summer but Forest are in advanced negotiations with his camp over an extension on 'significantly' improved terms.

That is in order to avoid any interested parties entering the fray in January to attempt to secure the services of the Nigeria international.

The versatile defender has been impressive in his right-back role for Forest this season after largely being deployed on the left for the previous campaign and has shone for Nuno Espírito Santo's side.

It is expected that an official announcement on an extension will be made this week.
