Nottingham Forest loanee Vivienne Lia has been recalled by parent club Arsenal ahead of schedule.

Lia joined Arsenal’s academy system at the age of 14 and she negotiated her way to the fringes of the senior squad. The youngster made her senior debut in February 2024 in a Subway Women’s League Cup fixture against London City Lionesses. Lia has regularly trained with the first team squad since making her maiden appearance.

In a bid to get regular first team football, Lia spent the second half of last season on loan at Barclays WSL2 club Southampton. She made nine appearances for The Saints in all competitions.

The forward has furthered her development in her loan spell at Nottingham Forest this term. Lia has made 12 appearances for the East Midlands side in all competitions.

With Lia now back with Arsenal, the next step of her development is unknown. The club may look to send the player out on a fresh loan arrangement for the final months of the season.
