The match officials for Leeds United’s Premier League clash with Nottingham Forest on Friday have been announced, with Peter Bankes set to take charge at Elland Road.
The Select Group official is in his seventh season in the Premier League. In that time, the 43-year-old has overseen 109 top-flight matches beginning with a 2019 meeting between Leicester City and Bournemouth.
The Merseyside-native has worked his way up the English football pyramid, with almost 200 EFL league matches officiated throughout his career.
In their 24 matches refereed by Bankes, the Whites have won nine and drawn four. The official’s last visit to Elland Road saw United draw 0-0 with Newcastle in August.
The opposition, meanwhile, have 13 wins and four draws in their 26 matches refereed by Bankes. He has overseen two matches for Forest this season: their 2-0 loss away to the Magpies in October and their season-opening 3-1 win over Brentford at the City Ground.
Keeping up with the action from Stockley Park is Video Assistant Referee Craig Pawson and Additional VAR Timothy Wood.
