Palmeiras midfielder Richard Rios has been linked with a move to Serie A giants Roma and a host of clubs but Nottingham Forest are now trying to to beat the Giallorossi in the race.

Roma have been leading the chase for the midfielder, who seems very interested in a switch to the Stadio Olimpico.

SportItalia have reported that Nottingham Forest are ready to offer close to €30 million for the player but they are also facing major competition from Benfica. The Portuguese giants are looking to put forward €25 million plus bonuses of €5 million.

This offer has been announced to Palmeiras already, with Roma keeping a close eye on the situation and are ready to make their own advances.

Wolves have already had an offer rejected for the Colombian and previously, it was clear that Nottingham Forest are offering the highest amount of money for the midfielder. The race is clearly heating up.
