Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of former London City Lionesses centre-back Georgia Brougham on a free transfer.

The Tricky Trees announced the news via a post on their official club website late last night.

The 29-year-old joins Nottingham Forest after leaving former club London City Lionesses earlier this summer. The player has signed a two-year deal at The City Ground.

Brougham spent two seasons with London City Lionesses and was a regular in the side. She helped the club win the Barclays WSL2 title last season. The player has also turned out for Manchester City, Everton, Birmingham City and Leicester City in her career to date. She was a member of the Everton side that were crowned FA Women’s Super League 2 Spring Series winners back in 2017.

After joining Nottingham Forest, Brougham said “I’m delighted to be here. After speaking to everyone involved, hearing the ambitions of the Club, it’s exciting to be a part of this team.

“I’m looking forward to integrating with the team and just seeing how far we can go, anything’s possible with the way the Club are backing the women’s team.”

Brougham is Nottingham Forest’s fourth signing of the summer transfer window. The club are expected to add further Barclays WSL2 experience to their ranks in the coming weeks.
