After last week's 1-0 victory against local rivals Sunderland, the Toon teenagers repeated the feat against their Tricky Trees counterparts to secure back-to-back league wins and clean sheets.

Pinnington, who joined United's Academy from Luton Town in the summer of 2023, scored the late winner to take the St Albans-born winger's goalscoring tally to four at under-18 level this season.

The promising forward, who signed his first professional contract with the Magpies on his 17th birthday, has also recorded six assists in his last 12 league outings.

The victory lifts Chris Moore's side into third place on 34 points, one shy of equalling last season's tally with five games remaining this term.
