Notts County ace Jodi Jones has poked fun at Salford City and their decision to sack Karl Robinson
Notts County star Jodi Jones has poked fun at the fact that Salford City have sacked manager Karl Robinson following their League Two play-off final defeat to the Magpies.
County beat the Ammies 3-0 at Wembley Stadium on 25 May, thanks to goals from Alassana Jatta, Lucas Ness, and the aforementioned Jones to book their spot in next season's League One.
The Magpies have not competed in the third tier since suffering relegation to League Two back in 2015, and played their football in the National League much more recently.
County boss Martin Paterson is now tasked with building a squad who can keep County in League One following their long-awaited third-tier return.

Robinson was appointed as Salford boss in January 2024, and the Greater Manchester club announced that they had sacked the 45-year-old with immediate effect on Tuesday.
The former Oxford United manager guided the Ammies to an eighth-place finish in 2025, before steering them to fourth place in May.
However, Robinson failed to take Salford to League One, and has been axed by the North West outfit's ambitious ownership group, which includes former Manchester United stars David Beckham and Gary Neville.
Meanwhile, aside from his League Two play-off final goal, Jones was a key man for County in 2025/26, scoring eight goals and registering four assists in 37 fourth-tier appearances.
Jones subsequently appeared to aim a dig at play-off final opponents Salford on Wednesday morning, as he wrote on X: "Good morning" alongside a coffee mug emoji.
County supporters were entertained by the wing-back's post, with one fan commenting: "Stop that" next to three laughing-face emojis, while another said: "Morning champ. Might have to watch some Wembley memories with a morning cuppa."

Jones has been one of the most talked-about League Two players in recent seasons, largely thanks to the remarkable return of six goals and 24 assists he notched in the 2023/24 campaign.
The 28-year-old was somewhat less prolific in 2025/26, but his return of 10 goals and six assists across all competitions commands respect, especially for a player who is a wing-back, rather than an out-and-out winger.
Jones scored a goal and registered an assist in the play-off final win over Salford, proving his ability to perform well on the big stage.
Should the Malta international perform at his best, he could help County become a strong League One side, who may not have to worry about the threat of relegation.
The Magpies have quality all over the pitch, while striker Jatta's goalscoring exploits in League Two suggest that he is ready to bridge the gap to the third tier.
Paterson's men will learn their League One fixture list on 25 June.
