Kylian Mbappe has become the centrepiece of Real Madrid’s project this season, and his impact is rewriting the script of the season.
While Xabi Alonso continues to stress the idea of a united squad working as one, the truth is that Los Blancos lean heavily on the brilliance of Mbappe.
Notably, his scoring record makes it clear. As per Mundo Deportivo, last year, he was responsible for 29.7% of Madrid’s goals, but this season, he has already scored 56.5% of the goals.
Mbappe has taken La Liga by storm with 13 goals in his opening nine games, a figure that highlights not only his form but also his growing authority.
The number 10 shirt, once worn by legends, now feels truly his. After a calm summer free of speculation, Mbappe has found rhythm and confidence, erasing any doubts from his early adaptation.
In fact, he has scored in every game this season except one – against Mallorca, where even two of his efforts were ruled out by the linesman.
Currently sitting at the top of the scoring charts, the Frenchman is enjoying the kind of run that puts him in pole position to dominate the league.

Out of Real Madrid’s 16 goals in La Liga so far, Mbappe has scored exactly half, a level of influence rarely seen in recent years.
If his league numbers are remarkable, his contribution in Europe is even more decisive. In just two Champions League fixtures, Real Madrid have found the net seven times.
Five of those goals belong to Mbappe, which means he has provided more than 70% of the team’s attacking output.
Until Eduardo Camavinga’s late strike against Kairat Almaty, Mbappe had effectively been responsible for every single Madrid goal in the competition this term.
His workload also underlines how much trust Alonso places in him.
Mbappe has already played close to 800 minutes this season, making him one of the most-used players in the squad. In fact, he has never been substituted before the 80-minute mark.
This just goes on to show how overly dependent Real Madrid have been on their new number 10.
