Nuno Espirito Santo says West Ham are continuing to assess Crysencio Summerville ahead of Sunday’s FA Cup quarter-final against Leeds United at the London Stadium.
According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the former Leeds winger sustained a calf injury in last month’s fifth round tie against Brentford, missing West Ham’s last two games and the Netherlands’ March internationals.
Espirito Santo said any call on Summerville would be made close to the game, with the player assessed day by day. He added the squad are being evaluated after the international break, some returning happy and others with issues.
West Ham still had 10 players away on international duty. Konstantinos Mavropanos sustained a head injury in Greece’s 1-0 defeat to Paraguay last Friday, went off with seven minutes left, then missed Tuesday’s match against Hungary in Budapest.
Jean-Clair Todibo remains a doubt after a calf problem in the warm-up before the Aston Villa game prior to the break. The 26-year-old did not feature at Villa.
Goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski has not played since appearing for West Ham’s under-21s in September because of a back injury.
