The wait is almost over as FC Barcelona have already travelled to the Spanish capital of Madrid for the first El Clasico of the 2025-26 season. The Blaugranes will be looking to continue with their winning run over their arch-rivals in this game, after having won all the matches against Real Madrid last season.
Hansi Flick has a 100% record in the Classics so far, and he would undoubtedly be looking to maintain this record today. However, he will have to achieve this difficult task without some of his important players.
This is clear from the squad list published by the Catalan club for this match, from which the likes of Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, Joan Garcia, Dani Olmo, Gavi, and Marc-Andre ter Stegen are all absent, as they continue to recover from their injuries. Andreas Christensen also remains absent after missing the last game due to illness.
Still, Flick has announced a strong squad for this game, which undoubtedly has the quality to get another win over the Merengues and get Barcelona at the top of the La Liga.
