FC Barcelona are set to kick off their Copa del Rey game against Racing Santander soon. The Catalan giants will look for a win here as they hope to reach the final eight of the competition, but this will be a fierce challenge nonetheless.

After all, Racing is a team that can take down giants when it needs to. Keeping that in mind, Hansi Flick has decided to field a rotated starting eleven for this game that also has some key starters playing at the same time.

In goal, Joan Garcia starts for FC Barcelona after a strong performance against Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup final. He will need to stay grounded, however, if he is to ensure that the goal stays safe.

Ahead of him, Pau Cubarsi and Gerard Martin have been deployed together as the starting centre-back pairing. Both players will need to remain alert and attentive, considering that even a single lapse in judgement could be fatal in this cup tie.

On the flanks, Jules Kounde and Alejandro Balde start as the two full-backs on the right and left respectively. However, with Joao Cancelo on the bench as well for this game, Hansi Flick might have more options to switch things around later if needed.

Ahead of them, Lamine Yamal and Marcus Rashford start as the two wingers in this game. While they will look to wreak havoc, they will be accompanied by Dani Olmo who starts as the central attacking midfielder.

Lastly, up top, Ferran Torres starts as the team’s primary centre-forward. With Robert Lewandowski having found the back of the net in the last game, this is now the Spaniard’s chance to add to his tally as well.
