Eintracht Frankfurt completed their marquee signing of Noel Aseko from FC Bayern for a transfer fee of around €13 million. After Nathaniel Brown’s saga, the two clubs were in discussion for the player who spent last season on loan at 2. Bundesliga outfit Hannover.

The Europa Conference League participants have signed the 20-year-old midfielder on a deal until 2031. Aseko scored three goals and provided six assists in 32 league games last term as Christian Titz’s Hannover narrowly missed out on promotion to Bundesliga.

The Berlin-born central midfielder joined FC Bayern from Hertha BSC in 2022. He was handed his first professional contract at the Rekordmeister in 2024, but has now left the club without making his first-team debut.

Eintracht Frankfurt’s website highlighted his well-rounded qualities in their profile of the player as he registered top-five numbers in 2. Bundesliga in duels, total distance covered, and top speed. Aseko is a current German U21 international.

“We’re confident that, with our coaching team and in our environment, Noel can fully develop his strengths in the Bundesliga. He’s proven in a physically demanding league (2. Bundesliga) that he has the physical attributes to take the next step. ” said Eintracht Frankfurt’s board member for sport, Markus Krösche.

“It means a lot to me to be here. The talks with the management were very open and respectful from the start, and I was presented with a clear plan for my continued development. The move to Eintracht is an important step for me in my career.” said the midfielder in the first interview with his new club.
